Indiana’s nonprofit green bank

Alex Crowley is Executive Director of the Indiana Energy Independence Fund. He leads IEIF’s strategy, partnerships, financing initiatives, and organizational operations, working with public, private, and nonprofit partners to expand investment in energy and building improvements across Indiana.

His background spans economic development, sustainability, marketing, and operations. He previously led the City of Bloomington’s Department of Economic and Sustainable Development and held leadership roles at Ogilvy & Mather, AT&T, and Insight Communications.

Chris Kerlin is IEIF’s Contractor Account Manager. He works with contractors to join and participate in IEIF financing programs, providing guidance on program requirements, project submissions, and the financing process.

His background includes commercial lighting, solar, building energy technologies, affordable housing, refugee assistance, and school construction. He previously served as Executive Director of the U.S. Green Building Council in New Mexico and is a LEED® Accredited Professional for Building Operations and Maintenance.

Logan Gunning is IEIF’s Program Manager. He manages IEIF’s financing programs, conducts financial analysis, and oversees programmatic reporting.

His background includes community education and outreach, as well as community-scale solar and wind development. Logan previously led regional voter education campaigns and worked as an associate project developer originating solar and wind projects. Logan holds a Master of Public Affairs degree from Indiana University.
