What’s a Smart-E loan?

Homeowners in Northeast Indiana, including low-to-moderate-income households and credit-challenged individuals, can access Smart-E loan offers to finance more than 40 home energy upgrades, from insulation and energy-efficient windows to heat pumps and solar panels.

Here's how it will work:

1. Find a Contractor

Choose a participating contractor and get an estimate for your home energy upgrade.

2. Apply for a Smart-E Loan

Apply online with a participating lender. You’ll need the amount you need to finance.

Once your loan is approved, let your contractor know so they can get started on your project!
